Sureños
Sureños (ispanyolca güneyliler) Southern United Raza, Sur 13 veya Sureños X3 olarak da bilinen bu çeteler, ABD eyaleti ve federal cezaevlerindeyken Meksika Mafyasına haraç ödeyen gevşek bağlantılı çetelerden oluşan gruplardır. Pek çok Sureño çetesinin birbiriyle rekabeti vardır ve bu rekabetin sona erdiği tek an hapishane sistemine girdikleri zamandır. Bu nedenle, aynı ortak kimliği paylaşsalar bile farklı Sureño çeteleri arasında kavga yaygındır. Surenolar Amerika Birleşik Devletleri'nde ulusal bir çete olarak ortaya çıktı.
Meksikalı Mafya üyeleri, kendilerini Kuzey Kaliforniya'daki tarım işçilerinden ayırmak için, kendileri için çalışan çete üyelerinden "Güneyliler" anlamına gelen İspanyolca bir terim olan Sureños olarak bahsetmeye başladılar. Nuestra Familia'ya bağlı olan Kuzey Kaliforniya'daki mahkumlar Norteños veya "Kuzeyliler" olarak tanındı. Sureños 1968'de kurulmuş olmasına rağmen, Kaliforniya hapishane sistemindeki Meksika Mafyası ile Nuestra Familia arasında devam eden çatışmanın bir sonucu olarak bu terim 1970'lere kadar kullanılmadı. Bölge

Illinois, Oklahoma, Georgia, Oregon ve Washington'da daha küçük bir varlıkları var. New York'a kadar doğuya yayılmışlardır. Sureño'ların ABD ordusunda hem ABD hem de denizaşırı üslerde bulunduğu belgelendi. Ayrıca Meksika'nın bazı bölgelerinde de bulunabilirler. Norteños ve Sureños arasındaki eyalet çapındaki kuzey-güney ayrım çizgisi, kabaca Bakersfield ve Delano şehirleri olarak kabul ediliyor. Sureños'un Upstate California'daki kaleleri, bu şehirlerdeki Meksikalı göçmen nüfusunun yüksek olması nedeniyle genellikle Santa Rosa ve Modesto'dadır. Los Angeles'taki Sureñolar, Orta Kaliforniya'daki üyelerinden "Merkezi Sureñolar" olarak söz eder ve Sureñolar, kuzey Kaliforniya'daki üyelerinden "Şehir Dışındaki Sureñolar" olarak söz eder.
Etimoloji ve karakteristik özellikler
Sureños, Meksika Mafyası'na bağlılıklarını belirtmek için alfabenin on üçüncü harfi olan M harfini temsil eden 13 sayısını kullanıyor. Yaygın Sureño çete işaretleri ve dövmeleri arasında bunlarla sınırlı olmamak üzere şunlar yer alır: Sur, XIII, X3, 13, Sur13, uno tres, trece ve 3 nokta. Sureños'un kullandığı birçok dövme olmasına rağmen üyeliği kanıtlayan veya doğrulayan tek bir dövme vardır. X3 etiketi ayrıca grafitilerde de yaygın olarak görülebilir. Sureño veya Sureña kelimesinin hak edilmesi gerekir. Sureño'ların çoğu Meksika kökenlidir, ancak bazı Sureño çeteleri, çeşitli etnik kökenlerden üyelerin kendi saflarına katılmasına izin vererek Sureño'ları çok ırklı hale getirir. Suç faaliyetleri
Sureño grupları cinayet, uyuşturucu kaçakçılığı, adam kaçırma, saldırılar, araba kaçırma, haneye tecavüz ve soygun dahil olmak üzere birçok suç faaliyetine karışmaktadır. Aynı zamanda yoğun bir şekilde insan ticaretiyle de uğraşıyorlar. Sureño çetesi üyelerinin temel gelir kaynakları, kokain, eroin, esrar ve metamfetaminin hem hapishane sistemlerinde hem de toplumda perakende düzeyde dağıtımı ve uyuşturucu satıcılarına yapılan gasplardır. Sureño üyelerinin ayrıca Meksikalı uyuşturucu kartelleriyle doğrudan ilişkileri olabilir ve Meksika Mafyası ve kendi çeteleri adına komisyonculuk anlaşmaları yapabilir.
Locotes 13
Locotes 13, doksanlı yıllara ortaya çıkmış bir Sureño setidir. Setin kurucusu Perro olarak bilinen Oscar Jimenez, şuan kendisi hüküm giymekte. İçeriden bağlantılarını koparmadı ve hala sete direktifler vermektedir. Yakın tarihte dağılan setin ardından otorite boşluğunu göçle gelen siyahiler değerlendirdi. Perro tekrar özgür olan bir kaç askere sokağı yeniden almaları için talimat verdi. La eMe'den destek gören bu askerler ilk önce Corona'da konuçlandı, gençleri saflarına çekerek rakip ekiple çekişmelere girdiler. Sonuç olarak tekrar Playa del Seville'de Locotes adı duyulmaya başladı. Eski güçleri için kovalıyorlar.

Çete oluşumlarında yükselmek
Çetede yükselmek herkes için iyi bir şey. Bir çetede yükselmek istiyorsanız üstünüzdeki kişilere saygılı olmaya özen gösterin onlarla fazla ters olmayın. Daha üst rütbelere gelmek için kendinizi kanıtlamalısınız verilen daha ciddi görevleri yerine getirdiğiniz zamanlarda(kasti yaralama, cinayet, yüklü soygun) gibi aktivitelerde kendinizi göstererek daha üst rütbelere çıkıp; bunun mahallenizde sizi daha saygılı bir kişi haline getireceğinden emin olabilirsiniz. South Side Locotes 13 güney bölgesinde bulunan bir Sureno cliquesidir. African-American göçmenlerinin güney yakasında yoğunlukta olması Southside Locotes 13'ün doğuşuna sebep oldu. Bir grup keş olarak oluşan bu grup kısa sürede bölgede halihazır yerleşmiş olan African-American çetelere karşı daha organize olan bir örgüt durumunu aldı. Zamanla daha da güçlenen bu çete, bölgede adını duyurmaya başladı. Aynı zamanda bölge sakinlerinin ifadelerine göre, kişilerin sayısı git gide artıyor. Bölgedeki bir çok evi para vermeden tuttukları, dükkanları yağmalayıp kafalarına göre mallar alındıkları da biliniyor. Bu nedenle bu bölgedeki çoğu dükkan kapandı. Bölge sakinleri polise verdikleri ifadede, gruptan oldukça şikayetçi olduklarını belirtiyor.
South Side Locotes 13'ün genişleme alanında bulunan on hispanikten bir tanesi bölge ile ilgili polis kuvvetlerinin beklentilerini aştı ve artık bulunduğu bölgedeki en tehlikeli çetelerden birisi olduğu söyleniyor. Çetenin hakimiyetindeki bölgenin sakinlerinin aşırı uyuşturucu kullanımı, bağımlılığa dayalı vahşi davranışlar sergilediği belli oluyor. Vice Hükumetinin yaptığı bir ankete göre Southside Locotes 13 çetesinin hakimiyetindeki bölgeler şehrin en mahrum bırakılmış bölgesi olduğunu gösteriyor. Bu bölgedeki hispaniklerin el altından insanlara uyuşturucu madde sattığı da konuşuluyor. Bunun söylenme nedeni ise, çoğu keşin mahalleye gelip kısa bir süre sonra gitmeleri. Bu olayın sıkça olması akıllara bu düşünceyi de getirdi.
