Game will not return after Alt-Tab
If launch works but switching windows hangs, compare display settings first.

What could cause it?
Full-screen switching, display settings or overlays may be involved; do not assume one cause.
Try these steps in order
- Save other work and close GTA normally. If it stops responding, end only the GTA process in Task Manager.
- Record the current resolution and make a short Alt-Tab test at another resolution supported by the game.
- Temporarily turn off your recording or overlay app in its own settings and compare. Keep security software enabled.
- If a clean game has the same issue, tell support your graphics card, driver version and tested settings.
Check the result
Repeat the same transition after one change at a time. Avoid random system-wide compatibility changes.
Keep your files safe
Restore your resolution and overlay settings after testing.
