Much of the roleplay in Vice revolves around factions: state bodies that run the city on one side, legal and illegal groups with their own rules on the other.

The state side

The VCPD is the city police and has its own academy. ASGH is the city’s first local public hospital, with the fire department under the same roof. In trouble, call 911 from your phone.

The Bar covers lawyers and prosecutors, while City Hall and Malibu Corporation handle permits and taxes. Their records are on the State (Eyalet) page.

Legal and illegal groups

Factions in game are mafias, gangs, legal groups, racers and bikers. A new group starts unapproved, then earns hood approval and finally full approval by proving its roleplay, not by picking a name.

Since 01.06.2026 illegal groups have clear rules: at least 1 month of character development and 20 different roleplay screenshots before joining wars, and at least 50 active hours a month. New members cannot join wars in their first week. Groups that break the rules can be closed through FM or RICO.

Before you join

Read the faction’s forum introduction and announcements first; applications usually go through there. Your friend being in a group does not mean your character knows them.

The Factions page lists groups, members and ranks. Anyone asking for your password, money or a “guaranteed approval” in private is not the official way.
