Connecting to a server
“The server didn’t respond. Retrying…”
SA-MP is not receiving a server response. This message alone does not prove the server is offline.

What could cause it?
An incorrect address, client version, local connection or server outage can produce the same symptom.
Try these steps in order
- Check that Favorites uses 54.37.194.16:7777 rather than an old IP from an archived download page.
- Confirm you are opening SA-MP 0.3.DL-R1 from the correct GTA folder.
- Check Vice’s website status and announcements. Wait for announced maintenance to finish.
- Check your internet connection; compare a wired connection or another permitted network where possible. Record any specific security software block message.
Check the result
If other players cannot connect at the same time, send support the time and error. Keep your firewall enabled and do not open arbitrary ports.
What should staff check?
Once the address and client are confirmed, staff can check the server process, UDP reachability and network protection.
