Vice City has 60 factions right now, and every one of them started with someone saying “I am going to build my own crew”. You can do it too, but there is an order to it.
Step by step
- Your character should be at least level 10. Be someone who has played in the city and knows what they want to build.
- Open your faction’s introduction in the Faction Introductions section of the forum: name, type, story, ranks. It cannot copy a real-life mafia, gang or motorcycle club, and military squads or terror groups are not allowed.
- Until the introduction is approved there is no in-game faction and no illegal roleplay. Once it is approved, the faction is opened in game.
- For the first 7 days a new faction is protected: nobody can bring aggressive roleplay, protection money, war or raids to you, and you cannot bring them to anyone. Use that week to settle your crew.
- Your faction gets a page under /birlik. Put your logo, banner and motto there; switch on “recruiting” and you stand out in the list.
The weight of leading
Every faction leader is the admin of their own faction: whatever happens in it counts as known to you, and you can be held responsible for a member’s violation. So do not rush when picking people. A new member cannot join fights for a week. Bumping your introduction thread with songs, videos or chatter is banned; an introduction grows only with screenshots of your roleplay.
If you close the faction it goes to the archive and can be reopened only once. After a second closure the same faction cannot come back; think it through before you close it.
Diaz or Vercetti
Every faction page says which of the city’s two old families it does business with: Diaz or Vercetti. Today 37 of the illegal factions and companies on the list partner with Diaz and 19 with Vercetti. We tell the story of the two families in the lore posts on Vice Blog.
