Some roleplay concepts are used so often that everyone refers to them by their abbreviations. Here are the essentials.

MetaGaming (MG)

Using information your character could not know. If you learn a meeting spot on Discord and your character suddenly shows up there, that is MG.

PowerGaming (PG)

Actions that are unrealistic or give the other player no chance to respond. Write your actions as attempts and let the other side roleplay the outcome.

DeathMatch (DM)

Attacking another player without a valid roleplay reason. Every conflict needs a story, tension and a motive first.

Other key terms

  • RK (Revenge Kill): Taking revenge for the same incident after dying.
  • NLR (New Life Rule): A character who dies forgets the events leading to it.
  • OOC / IC: Keeping out-of-character and in-character talk separate.
  • Fear RP: Reacting realistically when a weapon is pointed at you.

These rules are not about punishment — they make sure everyone gets a fair, fun story.
