Taking your first steps in Vice City is exciting, and a little overwhelming. This guide will help you make the most of your first day.
1. Know your character
The backstory you wrote is your character's compass. Before you log in, think again about what your character loves, what they fear and why they came to this city.
2. Read the rules
Make sure you understand MetaGaming, PowerGaming and DeathMatch. These three are where new players slip up most often.
3. Find your first job
- Taxi and bus driving — the fastest way to learn the map.
- Cargo and delivery — steady income and new contacts.
- Working at a local business — social and roleplay-heavy.
4. Talk to people
Players are the heart of Vice Roleplay. The most memorable stories begin with small moments: a chat in a café, a hand offered to a stranger on the road.
5. Ask for help
Stuck on something? Use the in-game help channel or the support section on the forum. Staff and experienced players are always happy to help.
Welcome aboard!
