The Vice City Police Department had stood watch in the same building since 1986; with the 4.5 overhaul (October 2026) it moved into a new headquarters. Outside there is a cream façade with new logos, lit differently by day and by night. At the back is a separate police garage and a 911 entrance that is open around the clock.
Inside: a lobby, a briefing room, offices, the detective bureau, holding and cells, a social area and a gym. The department’s new seal, Vice City’s palm tree in a gold rope frame, is now on the building, the cars and the uniforms. The VCPD switched to black uniforms, and ranks now run Police Officer I, Police Officer II and up.
For an ordinary citizen the station is where you go for complaints, statements, licences and permits, or to be released from holding. If you want to be a cop, applications go through the department’s own thread; the Vice City Police Department thread has been open since 25 October 2019, as old as the city itself.
