After a fight a character heals, but sometimes a wound leaves a mark. A permanent injury is one that will affect the character from now on: going deaf, an arm broken for good, a leg that can no longer be used.
Nobody can force this on you. A permanent injury needs OOC permission from the other player, and only then can it be given. Staff can also grant it when someone did not play Fear RP. Cutting off a limb is not covered by that permission; it needs separate consent and has to follow the inappropriate roleplay rules.
Temporary injury
Faction raids have a middle ground: temporary injury permission. With FM’s approval a faction leader can get up to 24 hours of it for a prisoner taken in a raid, and up to 14 hours for a kidnapped player.
Injury times
Wounds that heal still have to be roleplayed. A character knocked down by the system plays out their injuries; the maximum time for bleeding, bandaging and the like depends on the wound:
| Wound | Up to |
|---|---|
| Firearms | 1 hour |
| Fists, bats, knives | 30 minutes |
| Hit by a car, explosion, fall | 15 minutes |
These times do not make the character fit to fight again. After being wounded you wait 8 hours (4 for police) before joining another gunfight. Source: A.3.7.
