Term · banned

Bug abuse and C-bug

Using a bug in the game or the server to your own advantage. C-bug, C-roll, spawn kill, force crash… All banned in Vice; report any bug you find under Support.

Term · powergaming

Bunny hop, Ninja Jack, Car Surfing

GTA San Andreas physics allow some tricks: hopping while you run, riding on a car roof, pulling the driver out from the passenger seat. In Vice they are all powergaming.

Safe zone

Hospitals, police stations, banks, Vice Mall, Market Street… In Vice there are 20 places where illegal roleplay is off, even if both sides agree. The list and the exceptions.

Term · factions

PK War and CK War

Two factions agree and Faction Management referees. In a PK War nobody dies for good; in a CK War a fallen character is gone. Requirements, time limits and forfeits.

Term · aggressive roleplay

Brawl

A brawl is a fight without firearms: fists, bats, knives, knuckles. Some are agreed in advance, some just break out on the street. Rules and cooldowns.

Term · aggressive roleplay

Mugging, robbery and scams

A mugging takes cash only, where and as much as the system allows. Robbery goes through the system. Scams top out at $25,000, and never with property.

Term · banned

Refuse RP

Logging off or dropping your connection in the middle of an aggressive scene. In Vice it starts with jail and ends in a ban if repeated. Against the police the penalty is fixed and heavy.

Term · metagaming

Nametag

The name above a player is only there so we can tell each other apart. If your character does not know that person, they do not know the name either. Badge tags are the exception.

Term · rule

Mask

In Vice you do not walk around masked. You put one on only going into a fight or doing illegal roleplay away from civilians. Taking it on and off all the time can give you away.

Term · metagaming

Alt character

You can have more than one character in Vice, but they cannot talk to each other, share information or work for each other. Illegal roleplay and jobs are for your main only.

Term · rule

Permanent injury

A character left deaf, an arm broken for good, a leg that no longer works. In Vice a permanent injury needs OOC permission from the other player; cutting off a limb needs its own.

Term · rule

CCTV and camera roleplay

The city has CCTV, every cop wears a body cam and licensed businesses have cameras. Footage is IC evidence, but it has to be a screenshot or video; chat logs do not count.

Term · rule

Always in character

It does not. Roleplay goes on wherever other players or staff could see you, and the rules apply when nobody is around too. Never stop a scene; use /rapor, /soru or a report.

Term · aggressive roleplay

Kidnapping and prisoners

A person can be kidnapped once every 24 hours and held for 2 hours at most. No humiliation, no haircuts, no making them dance. Taking prisoners in a raid has its own rules.
